Our client is a European retailer who are expanding their business in APAC and are currently hiring for a Buyer to join their team.
The successful candidate is expected to have input to Inventory, Replenishment and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities include:

Coordinating with replenishment and logistics teams for efficient process from PO to delivered on time

Follow-up with vendor and Assistant Buyers on finding solutions for order discrepancies within an appropriate time frame

Ensure adequate stock holding limiting aging inventory
-
Support the Head of Category with vendor negotiations
-
Build strong and sustainable relationships, with clear communication with vendors
-
Speed-to-market for newness, exclusives and first-to-market
Sales Performance and Analysis

Review brand and vendor performance by customer
-
Find solutions with the Sales team and identify gaps/opportunities in the market: brand, price, investment, visibility

Perform market analysis to determine trends, newness and best practice within the region

Accurately maintain all information in SAP

Work closely with internal stakeholder to deliver results: Sales and Operations, Marketing,Supply Planning, Logistics, Finance and other categories

Participate in networking events with external stakeholders to build vendor relationships
Requirements:
- Minimum a Diploma qualification
- Experience in purchasing or retail merchandising
- Experience with vendor management
- Strong negotiation Skills
- Meticulous and well-organized
- Has the ability to work in a team and individually
- Is able to communicate effectively in English and Chinese
