Responsibilities
- Assume overall responsibility (including P/L) of manufacturing plant of over 250 and ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to meet customer satisfaction
- Develop holistic processes to maximise stewardship, safety, quality and productivity and manufacturability
- Manage and oversee the entire operations department - production, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain.
- Drives the team to meet on-time delivery, first pass yields and productivity
- Drive continuous improvement strategies and take initiatives to ensure Lean Manufacturing principles
- Responsible for the profit and loss of the manufacturing division
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing with at least 10 years of working experience in an optics manufacturing or related field
- Prior experience as an Operations Manager, Plant Manager or equivalent
- Stronghold with relevant industry standard equipment
- Knowledge of lens manufacturing, lasers etc. would be a plus
- Strong knowhow of business and management principles
- Prior P/L responsibility would be a plus
