Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility to improve operation Lean Flow, maximize operation performance, drive quality improvements, develop a technically qualified work force and reduce operating costs amongst others through continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives
- Eliminate waste within site operation and ensure that the value stream meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Responsible to lead and manage the Value Stream to the ensure the sales fulfilment process has a predictable product supply to the customers as well as the work improvement and process optimization of operational flow and driving operational excellence
- Responsible for the performance on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory
- Ensure that all operational activities are in compliance with the local laws and practices, and in conformance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Manage resource, headcount and equipment utilization
- Plan and lead a cross-functional Value Stream team comprising of group leaders, process engineers, buyers and planners and quality engineers to achieve value stream vision and operational effectiveness
- Lead team to identify and to carry out continuous improvement to assembly processes, equipment/machines efficiencies, production capacity and utilization and other operational related activities
- Manage the cost of production through resource planning & allocation, equipment utilization, Labour utilization, production material usage variance, and expense control
- Facilitate people development activities of associates and ensure work place safety and health
- Establish training and development plan and monitor effectiveness through regular review
- Interact with cross functional employees, government agencies, customers and vendors
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering with 5 - 10 years' experience in a medical device manufacturing plant or similar environment
- Stronghold with Lean Manufacturing to improve processes using six sigma tools
- Prior experience with Continuous Improvement activities (reduction of costs for companies)
- Good knowledge of production management, engineering and financial management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross functional heads
- Prior experience with value stream
- Experience in managing department expenditure and budgeting
