Our client is a brand that believes in comfortable and practical, yet stylish footwear and fashion. In the role of Regional Account Manager of South Asia you would play a leading role within the APAC Sales Team, driving channel expansions and exceeding distributors' expectations by demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the regional needs, consumer trends, market size development, retail development and competition landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the distributor Fiscal Year sales budgets
- Build a yearly forecast with each distributor and review this on a regular basis
- Strive to achieve Fiscal year sales targets by managing performance of countries through distributors, setting clear goals that link to overall brand priorities
- Conduct business reviews with distributors to provide strategic directions and goals for the business
- Provide expertise & direction to the distributors on the use of selling tools and all relevant materials needed to enable a successful seasonal sell-in
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop channel assortments for key accounts
- Provide clear direction to the distributors on the expectations and placement of the directed assortments in the marketplace.
- Track and monitor assortment placement with destination doors, marketplace in-store execution and sell-through
- Drive channel expansion by identifying white spaces in each market, working with distributors to open retail stores and constantly rejuvenating current doors
- Review store opening plans, franchise application packs and P&L justifications to ensure all information meets standards before channelling it for next level approval
- Work cross functionally with operations, brand & merchandising to ensure alignment on distribution and commercial priorities and seasonal readiness
- Collaborate with marketing and visual merchandising to ensure distributors adhere to the brand guidelines
- Review competitor behaviour in each territory, report on store findings relating to sell through rates, and any innovative or effective marketing activity
- Monitor market activities to ensure brand equity and development are up to expectations
Key Requirements:
- Sound experience in account management and sales in a footwear or fashion/apparel business with regional expertise in SEA markets - dealing with key accounts, distributors and retailers in SEA markets to support growth and market development
- Strong background in channel management, account planning, and account servicing
- Organized and excellent prioritization skills, especially in a fast-pace environment
- Strong ability to adapt and possess a strong flexibility within a fluid business environment
- Great team player with a dynamic personality
- Strong people engagement skills
- Numerically strong and financially aware
- Willingness to travel about 30% of the time
