My client is a world leader in the medical device industry and now seek an experienced Continuous Improvement Section Leader to provide production engineering and industrial engineering expertise to drive targets for quality, output, waste, machine efficiency and reliability


Responsibilities:

  • Perform time studies, cycle time studies, line balancing and process/layout analysis, applying Lean and Industrial Engineering tools and principles to manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity and reduce waste
  • Develop manufacturing methods, labour utilization standards, and cost analysis to promote efficient labour and equipment utilization
  • Conduct and review the respective organization value stream mapping and derive continuous improvement opportunities through lean manufacturing and IE methodologies
  • Provide production engineering expertise in achieving schedule compliance and process capability
  • Drive opportunities for continual improvement to support departmental goals in alignment to Plant's vision, objectives and shared values
  • Drive cost savings activities and conduct data analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities that will result in plant productivity year on years.
  • Liaise with the team to achieve equipment effectiveness through TPM through efficient production scheduling, quality and capacity and cycle time improvement programs
  • Work with process and resource teams to execute continuous improvement projects to achieve productivity saving and lead time reduction
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent with at least 7 - 10 years of experience in a regulated industry (medical, biotech, pharma, manufacturing etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge in operation management, assembly, engineering processes and industrial engineering
  • Experience with Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement methodology
  • Six Sigma Certification will be a plus
