My client is a world leader in the equipment and inspection industry and now seek a highly experienced Applications Scientist for developing and characterizing next gen metrology products
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility to develop and conduct application development work
- Work with a cross functional team of Application Scientists and Engineers to design, develop and conduct characterization of metrology modeling solutions
- Taking ownership in R&D solution development with detail analysis of systems, in-depth knowledge in statistical optimization and machine learning algorithm
- Design a test plan and metrics to characterize the metrology SW solutions
- Work with applications, engineering & R&D to develop specifications, and qualify metrology solution at different PLC phases
- Represent Application Characterization in SW PLCs
- Audit and contribute to advanced applications training program to ensure the quality of training and training material
Requirements:
- PhD or Masters in Physics, Material Science, Physical Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 - 7 years' experience in optical metrology systems, advanced algorithm development and metrology modeling
- Stronghold in statistical optimization and machine learning with Matlab, Python or equivalent
- Extensive expertise in Optical /TF metrology in 3D NAND, Logic, and DRAM devices
- Prior experience in semiconductor device manufacturing front-end processes will be big plus
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and project management skills
- Travel of about 25%
