My client is a global leader in the healthcare industry and are expanding their presence in Asia. They now seen an experienced Automation Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, Procure, Develop, Validate, Commission, Qualify and Launch new equipment by working closely with cross functional teams to provide innovative solutions for process improvements
  • Develop control systems to improve manufacturing and efficiency
  • Chief role for leading engineering activities for capital projects (global and internal) which include, but not limited to - new plants and expansions, new technology implementations and process and tech transfer
  • Provide Technical expertise for continuous production of medical products without compromising process, associated equipment and their quality
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Equipment Feasibility Study on process and equipment issues and ensure implementation of CAPA
  • Lead tech transfer to Singapore including engineering review, project planning, conceptual engineering, cost estimation and reduction, detailed process design and vendor selection

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering with at least 7 years' experience in factory automation and 5 years in the medical industry (equipment)
  • Firsthand experience in design for jigs, fixtures and experience with tooling for manufacturing
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams and strong proficiency in PLC/SCADA
  • Expert with mechanical design software - AutoCAD, ProE, SolidWorks
  • Technical know-how in process engineering with experience in leading projects, statistical process control and understanding of Six Sigma principles. Certification would be advantageous
  • Solid knowledge control logic and software methodologies
  • Proven Leadership ability to manage Tech Transfer
