My client is a world leader in the consumer electronics industry with a plethora of products. Having been around for about 100 years, they are known for their excellence and innovation. They now seek an experienced manager for Regulatory Compliance and Product Safety

Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Product Safety

Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility as a global regulatory advisor, responsible for researching and monitoring of regulations, and helping establish global regulatory strategies.
  • Establish communication with regulatory authorities relating to spectrum planning, product safety and environmental across the globe
  • Interpret proposed regulations and advise management on impact to the organization
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies, procedures and controls for new products and business activities that require governmental approval
  • Prepare and submit regulatory applications such as permits, licenses, certificates and authorization
  • Coordinate and prepare various compliance reporting to regulatory organizations, meeting documentations and training material
  • Perform internal audits on the effectiveness of compliance policies main maintain records of international Regulatory Compliance regulations including technical details for all regions of the world
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends and new regulations in order to analyse the impact of regulation changes on an organization by working closely with Global Compliance team and key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 10 - 15 years' of experience with regulatory requirements on a global scale for consumer electronics or medical electronics
  • Experience with RF, wireless test experience
  • Prior experience in dealing with telecommunication authorities in APAC
  • Experience with government lobbying will be a plus
  • Proven track record of working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors
  • Knowledge of government administrative procedures and requirements and ability to evaluate complex information
  • Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams across the globe
  • Proficient in computer operating skills in MS Office / Excel; experience in using SAP or ERP systems are preferred
  • Travel of about 20%
