Responsibilities:
- Research, design and develop innovative manufacturing technologies and process concepts for incorporation into products
- Identify business needs, translate technology goals and requirements, develop and test production solutions within agreed time & budget constraints
- Provide technical leadership to manufacturing team for all NPI products and technologies
- Implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documents to meet current and future production volume
- Liaise and communicate effectively with internal team members from manufacturing, R&D, supplier development, textiles and sales and marketing to ensure these technologies are appropriate and satisfy all requirements
- Build successful relationships with potential internal and external technology partners
- Provide constructive technical feedback and recommendations to ensure the final design is robust and manufacturable
- Assess and implement new processes, equipment and technologies for long-term manufacturing requirements
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Mechatronics or equivalent with 7 - 12 years' in a relevant role
- Experience with a regulated industry (medical, life science etc.)
- Experience with textiles design and development will be a big plus
- Solid knowledge and awareness of Technology development processes and ability to source out technology to assess if the product is manufacturable
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to liaise with senior department heads across the region
