Senior Solutions Architect - AWS - Director Level
Volt is partnering with a leading, multinational technology business which operates in 15 countries and has in excess of 15,000 employees globally.
Due to rapid growth and the company's further expansion, the role of Solutions Architect at Director level for APAC has been created, to be based in their Singapore office.
The position will require you to drive architecture of the end -end AWS solution including migration and optimization, regionally in APAC and drive the automation and digitalization of future capabilities of the solution using AI capabilities. The solution will extend to support up to 25 million , for partners and end users in APAC.
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect at Director level with proven experience in delivering large scale projects with public, private and hybrid cloud architecture in AWS

Responsibilities will include:

  • You will be responsible to optimise/review/refactor the code across implementations and recommend optimal solution(s) ensuring maximum leverage of AWS products

  • You will own and maintain all the services catalogue across APAC implementations

  • You will own APAC AWS Cloud computing strategy not limiting to Cloud adoption plans, application design Cloud management and monitoring

  • You will interact with the development team and DevOps team (across multiple geo locations, vendors and FTE) daily and ensure technical commitment for successful delivery of micro services (serverless)

  • You will work with the DevOps resources to design/maintain automation framework for deployments using the latest CI/CD tools and ensure code release into Production

  • You will research on new/cost effective services and features launched by AWS (on a regular basis) and apply them across implementations

  • You will work closely with business stakeholders to determine and understand the current platform and relay the design and solution to the development team


Essential experience sought
Bachelor's degree coupled with minimum of 13+ years' experience in Information technology
Of which 6+ years plus experience in delivering large scale projects with public, private and hybrid cloud architectures preferably on AWS

  • Strong Technical skills across AWS technology stack -

  • Foundation Services (EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, VPC, Direct Connect, RDS and Cloud Front)

  • Application Services (SES, AppStream, Cloud Search) and

  • Deployment and Management (CloudWatch, IAM, CloudTrail)

  • React , Node, Express js

  • Working experience in building solutions involving

  • Source code management (Git and GitHub)

  • Containers (Dockers)

  • Configuration Management and Deployment (Chef, Ansible)

  • Knowledge of multi-tier architectures across multiple technology stacks such as Java, J2EE, web servers, caching, application servers, RDBMS/NoSQL: MySQL, Dynamo DB.

  • Strong delivery experience on JavaScript frameworks such as Node.JS, Angular JS, ReactJS, ExpressJS.

  • AWS certifications will be an added advantage

  • Experience in leading and collaborating with global teams across regions.

  • Strong understanding of business and technical requirements and cognizant of enterprise architecture.

  • Experience in designing hybrid application architecture and multi-cloud application architecture
