An exciting opportunity has come up with our client who is looking for a Shopper Insights & Strategy Director to establish a strategic insights and strategy program for the APAC region. You will be key in recommending innovative solutions to business questions and Champion this knowledge sharing and stay updated of latest advancements in the space. This includes working closely with research agencies to oversee the roll out of the projects you commission and ensure delivery in a timely manner.
This role is part of the leadership team and is highly visible within the organization where you will be working closely with senior stakeholders and the wider global team to arrive at collaborative deliverables. You will look after a portfolio of brands that is well loved and has experienced sustained growth in this region. In addition, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of 3-4 analysts, supporting their growth and development.
To be successful in this role, you must have extensive experience dealing with both qualitative and quantitative research and possess the ability to explain complex data in an engaging manner. You should have at least 10 years of relevant agency or in-house consumer insights work experience in the FMCG, beauty or travel portfolios in a similar seniority. Proven record of accomplishment in high level presentations with a deep knowledge of the Chinese consumer market is a must. Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred as China is the biggest market for them. You must be a strong public speaker with excellent interpersonal skills to articulate and present successfully in this role. You should also be passionate about brands, travel, media, technology, social media, and trends.
