Responsibilities:
- Implement HSE policies & procedures that ensure a safe and healthy working environment
- Lead and guide the HSE committee team and assume responsibility for implementation of HSE strategy and annual budget
- Provide support in implementing HSE programs across the region
- Provide guidance and oversight to direct reports including supervision, development and other actions
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and environmental risks
- Conduct and organize HSE audits, trainings, meetings and develop action plan to address relevant safety issues
- Develop, maintain and ensure effective emergency response
- Liaise with local authorities and manage license renewal and organize and conduct CERT audits
- Manage all EHS incidents and review internal EHS policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate and analyse current KPIs including improvement plans
- Liaise with regional and global site leads to enhance the safety culture and systems
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent with a least 10 years' experience in an EHS role
- Certified Fire Safety Manager
- WSHO and FSM Certified
- License/Course for Managing Hazardous Substance will be a plus
- Recognized Safety and Health qualifications
- Industrial site production environment experience will be a plus
- Experience in Lean/Six Sigma will be an added advantage
- Prior experience in managing vendors and contractors
- Travel of about 10-20%
