Volt is working with a leading multinational organisation in the healthcare/medical devices sector which is looking to appoint an experienced, capable and commercially-focused Finance Director into their Singapore business.
This is a regional role, with responsibility for the finance function across 10 countries in APAC and reporting through to the head office in Europe.
Leading a team of 20, based both locally and remotely, the successful candidate will act as a business partner to the regional MD, providing crucial strategic insight and overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting.
Responsibilities will also include:
- working with senior management to achieve overall objective of sustained profitability and regional growth
- ensuring all finance and accounting records are in accordance with international reporting standards
- maintaining robust systems, internal controls, driving improved processes and implementing best practice
- overall responsibility for finance business partnering, planning and analysis, tax, transfer pricing, statutory reporting and audits
Ideally, you will hold a degree in Accountancy and be a qualified CA, CPA or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years work experience. A Big 4 background would be an advantage, combined with several years working in a regional leadership capacity within a medical devices or healthcare multinational.
An excellent knowledge of statutory and international accounting standards including related analysis and reporting, along with a deep knowledge of tax regulations are a pre-requisite, as are strong analytical and IT skills, superior stakeholder management, communication and management skills.
