My client is a world leader in the optics, optoelectronics and laser industry and now seek an experienced Product Engineer for their optical portfolio of lasers, SLEDs and ELEDs
Responsibilities:
- Act as the product owner for selected products from optical portfolio of narrow linewidth lasers, Superluminescent diode (SLED) and Edge Emitting Led (ELED) and own all aspects of product specification and performance
- Assume responsible for all aspects of the verification, validation and improvement of the product performance against customer, engineering and manufacturing requirements
- Liaise with process/product and quality engineers and the new product development team, provide analysis and support new product qualifications
- Lead and involve in testing of photonic devices and optical sensors
- Support new product development team, providing test analysis to the team, and support qualification activities
- Resolve yield and customer quality issues and support sales on technical enquires
- Ensure data compilation, analysis and documentation of products
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree in Physics, Optics, Engineering or equivalent with 6 - 10 years' experience as product/yield engineer or equivalent in an optics/semicon/photonics industry
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and be able to drive improvement activities
